Policemen
in four pick-up patrol vehicles have taken over the National Secretariat of the
All Progressives Congress in Abuja, following a court judgment suspending
the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday.
The officers prevented some
persons from going into the APC headquarters.
It is unclear why the police moved to the
headquarters of the ruling party hours after a court ordered the suspension of
Adams Oshiomhole as national chairman.
Danlami Senchi, judge of a federal capital
territory (FCT) high court, gave the order on Wednesday following an
application of interlocutory injunction filed by one Oluwale Afolabi seeking
the removal of Oshiomhole as APC national chairman.
