NOW THAT THE APEX COURT HAS SPOKEN

Guess the Supreme Court did not review the “evidence” in their letter. A letter of one man’s opinion put forth here as “evidence”. Really sad how some so easily debase themselves when they allow their emotions and passions to control their thoughts. A situation now going on in USA since Trump took control of the soul of Republican Party. So much so that even those hitherto respected became choir to the lies and deceit:

They all "won" because they believed that it was ordained and mandated that they would win and how dare anyone disagree. And how dare anyone question that their “story” is not enough evidence.”

Unfortunately for them, while many in the society would react and even buy into their stories, the courts that ultimately decided, wanted one thing and one thing only: EVIDENCE! A substantiated and adjudicated evidence not as hangs on, pastors, priests, imams, bishops, cardinals, voodoo master, chiefs, kings, Alhajis, etc said. But Evidence they did not present and would not have provided because there was none. That's the case, there was NO evidence.

The Nigerian Tribunal said so and now the apex court said so. Sorry, UN or the court sitting in Hague does not decide election for countries and quite frankly, they have more important international issues to deal with for, at least, the next twenty years!

Folks, fake is their stories, however sentimental, appeasing, glorifying, or even satisfying, are NOT evidence. Sadly, as Justice Okoro of Nigerian Supreme court also cautioned the parties this morning, stories can and do deceive many into believing in lies and deceit often to the point of self-destruct as well as societal destruction.

So, this appeal to Atiku, Obi and others: Let this election be. Accept the results that have now been affirmed by the courts. Assure Nigerians of your commitment and desire to work with the current administration to move the country forward. Help the people to calm down and find the good in their nation.

But to find that good, they must believe in their nation, work with others regardless of differences in tribe, religion, gender, etc.

Do not let the hypes, the urge, the push, the self-interests groups, the immediate gratification, etc cloud your judgement. Do not destroy Nigeria! I wish you the best.

OBOREVWORI: How Not To Glorify A 'One Chance' Governor - By Zik Gbemre

It is appalling how, in desperation to sustain its thieving hegemony over the Delta State Government since 1999, the Delta PDP had the audacity to impose the weakest, most uninformed contender, a local champion, as Governor over a state replete with accomplished men and women of immense capacity. Given this unenviable privilege, one would have expected the fortunate placeholder governor, Sheriff Oborevwori—whose only election campaign manifesto was pledging to improve on the failed leadership of Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor—to engage creative minds and individuals of proven integrity to assist him in making a difference. Rather than doing the needful, Oborevwori has worsened matters by electing to engage the same spent leaders, deadwood, and gluttons that have gained prominence in running the state down over successive administrations. The result has been a government of mediocre officeholders competing to run the state for their pockets at the detriment of the populace, under a gove...
