DELTA GUBER LITIGATION: Jackson Ude And His Guerrilla Journalism

Recently, Jackson Ude published another concoction intended to bring disrepute to office of the President and the Judiciary. In a bizarre post on X titled "PDP to lose Delta, Plateau, and Nasarawa States," Ude's allegation appears delusional, unfounded, and highly ridiculous.

Known for blackmail and disseminating fake news, Ude, unable to influence Peter Obi's efforts to overturn President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's election victory, has shifted focus to State Governors and their election petition processes.

Ude, displaying a lack of boundaries in his questionable practices, has fabricated this falsehood to ambush, manipulate and coerce the Judiciary in addressing perceived wrongs from the last general election. It is disheartening to witness Ude persist on the path of perfidy, as his attention-seeking escapades have victimized those unwilling to succumb to his blackmail for money.

There are suspicions that Ude may now be working for the Delta State Government and the PDP. A thorough investigation reveals Ude's affiliation with the PDP, notably he was seen with the former governor of Delta State during a fishing expedition to the University of Chicago to unearth President Tinubu’s certificate. This raises concerns about Ude's objectivity and credibility.

It is crucial to note that neither Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege nor the Delta APC require any external intervention to win their case at the Appeal Court. Public knowledge attests to Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege and the APC winning the March 18 Delta State Governorship Election, despite Okowa's substantial use of public resources to secure victory for Sheriff Oborevwori.

The certified true copy of the BVAS report clearly indicates massive vote inflation and manipulation by Okowa and the PDP. Even the Ec8A forms presented by INEC lacked serial numbers, suggesting manipulation, corruption, and rigging.

Ude's claim of Tinubu’s involvement in removing the Delta State Governor is deemed highly preposterous and unsubstantiated. Responsible journalism demands a critical analysis of information before publication, especially when it has the potential to incite tensions. Ude should distinguish between facts and fiction.

In the political landscape, a fair and balanced approach to information dissemination is crucial. The general public should thoroughly evaluate statements from individuals with vested interests.

OBOREVWORI: How Not To Glorify A 'One Chance' Governor - By Zik Gbemre

It is appalling how, in desperation to sustain its thieving hegemony over the Delta State Government since 1999, the Delta PDP had the audacity to impose the weakest, most uninformed contender, a local champion, as Governor over a state replete with accomplished men and women of immense capacity. Given this unenviable privilege, one would have expected the fortunate placeholder governor, Sheriff Oborevwori—whose only election campaign manifesto was pledging to improve on the failed leadership of Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor—to engage creative minds and individuals of proven integrity to assist him in making a difference. Rather than doing the needful, Oborevwori has worsened matters by electing to engage the same spent leaders, deadwood, and gluttons that have gained prominence in running the state down over successive administrations. The result has been a government of mediocre officeholders competing to run the state for their pockets at the detriment of the populace, under a gove...
