OMO-AGEGE SEEKS DELTANS' SUPPORT FOR PRESIDENT TINUBU: If He Succeeds, We Have All Succeeded

The immediate past Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Obarisi, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, CFR, has appealed to Nigerians to continue supporting the administration of President Bola Tinubu, stating that if Tinubu succeeds, all Nigerians have succeeded.

The lawmaker, who represented the Delta Central Senatorial District in the Ninth Assembly, made the appeal on Saturday at a homecoming reception organized in his honor in Ughelli, Delta State.

Omo-Agege, who was also the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the 2023 governorship election in Delta, praised President Tinubu's performance, emphasizing that Tinubu is a president for everybody and has not disappointed them. He highlighted Tinubu's successful track record as former governor of Lagos State and expressed confidence in his ability to replicate it nationwide.

He urged Nigerians to be patient and continue praying for the President, noting the recent fluctuations in the Dollar's value but expressing optimism for the future under Tinubu's leadership.

Omo-Agege recalled the sacrifice of five APC members who lost their lives during the last day of the APC governorship campaign in the creeks of Gbaramatu kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area of the state, expressing gratitude for their dedication and support.

Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, praised Omo-Agege's campaign efforts and acknowledged the support of Delta citizens. Mr. Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of APC, commended Omo-Agege's service and his impact on the lives of Delta's people.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of gifts to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Government of Nigeria has inaugurated a 12-member Presidential Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy (PACPM), tasked with recommending individuals eligible for presidential pardons from criminal convictions. The committee, chaired by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, was inaugurated on Wednesday. GOVERNOR OBOREVWORI APPOINTS OSEJI AS DELTA HEAD OF SERVICE

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Minimim Oseji as the new Head of Service. Her appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Reginald Bayoko, who served in the position for nearly nine years. Dr. Oseji, a medical doctor, was previously the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and had also served as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health.
