“Murderers”: Anti-Moro protesters scream blood at the Interior Ministry over NISTragedy

Self-styled activists today marched on the offices of the Ministry of Interior, calling for the resignation and prosecution of the Minister, Mr. Abba Moro, for his role in the catastrophic circumstances that led to the death of at least 20 job seekers during the recruitment exercise of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) on March 15. The protesters, about 30 in number, organized via social media and shouting “murderers, murderers,” were led by one Miss Azeenarh Mohammed. While they were protesting, another group of pro-Moro youths turned up at the Interior ministry compound and clashed with the first set of protesters, while making a call for ‘caution’ in the ongoing ‘attempts to hound him out of office’ over the tragic recruitment exercise. Moro, Parradang, others to face Senate Thursday

              A Minister of Interior Abba Moro and the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Mr. David Parradang, will on Thursday appear before the Senate Committee on Interior over the death of 19 applicants during its recruitment exercise. The Clerk to the Committee on Interior, Isah Garba, in a statement, said the Atiku Abubakar Bagudu-led committee also summoned the representatives of the Police, Federal Civil Service Commission, Managing Director/CEO of Drexel Technical Global Services Limited, trade unions, victims and their families. and other stakeholders directly or indirectly connected to the incident.          President Goodluck Jonathan President Goodluck Jonathan Monday reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to  global fight against the threat of nuclear terrorism.         Governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Sule Lamido     The Governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a party that has no real attributes of democratic ideology that would propel the nation to the Promised Land. Church war: Drama in Taraba as 2 pastors beat colleague to stupor

Two pastors in Jalingo, Taraba state yesterday were arrested for reportedly teaming up with some church members to beat up a fellow pastor to a state of unconsiousness at Nukkai area. According to reports, the trouble started when a new pastor who was posted to take charge of the UMCN Nukkai, reported for duty on Sunday morning but met resistance as the old pastor and members were said not to be ready to welcome him. In the process, the old pastor and his members allegedly attacked the pastor, leaving him unconscious. Nigerian Eye reports : Our correspondent reports that the pastor was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo, where he is currently receiving treatment. Sambo Commends Uduaghan’s Development Stride

        Vice President,  Mohammed Namadi Sambo Vice President, Architect Mohammed Namadi Sambo, at the weekend in Lagos commended Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State for striving to create jobs and attract investment to the state through the development of infrastructures.
