OKOWA ENJOY YOUR FOOTBALL GAME. NO MIND THEM! - Omonire Ovwigho Isaac.

If Dr. Okowa tars road, APC apologists will complain. If he doesn't tar road, they'll still complain. If he sand-fills road, they'll complain. And if he still doesn't sand-fill road, they'll still complain. If he commissions road, they'll complain and if he still doesn't commission road they'll still complain. If he does anything including taking his own breath, they'll complain. And if he still doesn't take his own breath, they'll complain.
The question now is, what do you Delta APC apologists really want from him?
You guys see every PDP man as the demon you all demonize and immediately any of them decamps to your party, the decampee becomes progressive and saint of all time. Why? Dr. Cairo Ojougboh was a PDP demon that was once demonized but, today, he's now progressive and a messiah. And today, there are tens of Dr. Cairo in Delta APC from Delta PDP.
So many of those saints in Delta APC today made their fortunes from the same PDP they now demonize. What a people that are not appreciative in life? How can you betray your conscience so easily? A party that brought the best out of you, just because others are called to be recognized as well and you see the party as evil? Must you always be there to benefit everything till forever comes? Are you the only person in the party that is to occupy position always?
Some even said the rate of unemployment in Delta is very high and that there's job opportunity in Lagos. I looked at one of them and I laughed. Lagos is full of all the opportunities then, what brought you from Lagos to Delta State to be carrying bag for someone? Why contest for a mere counsellor you're not even sure of winning but waste of time and energy somehow? Would someone leave his comfort zone to be carrying bag and contesting for a mere counsellor? Or can someone who was born and brought up in Lagos be segregated from the many opportunities he sees in Lagos? We aren't telling ourselves the truth.
The truth is that, there's hell in Lagos. No wonder Urhobo has the adage that says, "sekpi Eko, obele e. Se rivwire oyinyibele." Which means, "to go to Lagos is not difficult. But to comeback from Lagos is what difficult."
Lagos is Nigeria. And Nigeria is Nigeria and the rate of unemployment is in everywhere.
Let's face it squarely today. Lagos, with all the special and preferential treatment being given to Lagos before and after Independence till date, the rate of unemployment is still very high there. Strip off Seaports from Lagos, strip off visa offices from Lagos and tell the oil companies to go to where the crude oil is being drilled and see how Lagos bleeds within a year.
If you had a job that could pay you N70,000 in Lagos with all the grammar, I don't think you'd leave Lagos state to be aide to a party chairman that's not recognized and then, contest for a mere counsellor.
As you condemn and criticise and make comparison, you have to realize that there are thinkers who see it all clearly and squarely.
And I have found that, for a man to be progressive after his many sins is just to join forces with APC.
Dr. Okowa, please enjoy your football game. No mind them! They can only scream and constitute nuisance on the cyberspace. But, they can't do nothing because the real people constituting nuisance are not even qualified to vote and to be voted for in an election.
How can people without voters' card win an election? Or how can people who registered in another state win election in Delta State? I was told that nothing is impossible but, that is "IMPOSSICAN'T;" Which means, impossible and cannot happen. You can't win where you're not qualified to.
PDP is fully in charge of Delta State.

OBOREVWORI: How Not To Glorify A 'One Chance' Governor - By Zik Gbemre

It is appalling how, in desperation to sustain its thieving hegemony over the Delta State Government since 1999, the Delta PDP had the audacity to impose the weakest, most uninformed contender, a local champion, as Governor over a state replete with accomplished men and women of immense capacity. Given this unenviable privilege, one would have expected the fortunate placeholder governor, Sheriff Oborevwori—whose only election campaign manifesto was pledging to improve on the failed leadership of Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor—to engage creative minds and individuals of proven integrity to assist him in making a difference. Rather than doing the needful, Oborevwori has worsened matters by electing to engage the same spent leaders, deadwood, and gluttons that have gained prominence in running the state down over successive administrations. The result has been a government of mediocre officeholders competing to run the state for their pockets at the detriment of the populace, under a gove...

THE ENDURING LEGACY OF LEADERSHIP: Chief James Ibori Celebrated for His Impact on Delta State

On Friday, May 31st, during the funeral service for the Late Asagba of Asaba, the essence of true leadership was vividly displayed. The service featured the introduction of various dignitaries, including Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation who represented President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor Godwin Obaseki, and Former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. As each dignitary was introduced, the church remained silent. However, the atmosphere dramatically changed when the name of Former Governor James Ibori was announced; the congregation erupted in wide jubilation and applause. This reaction was so profound that even Senator George Akume and Governor Obaseki could not hide their astonishment. The enthusiastic reception for Chief James Ibori during this solemn occasion highlighted his enduring legacy among the people of Delta State. Despite having left office seventeen years ago, he continues to be celebrated whenever he attends public functions i...
