What is happening in Nigeria now is difficult to understand. The rate at which innocent blood is flowing cannot be understood. Life in Nigeria has been so devalued beyond all calculations. Are we at war? If we are then let us define the boundaries, the zones and the enemies.

Funny enough, all of us, especially APC supporters who are yet to be consumed are enjoying the videos and news of what is happening. Those who have dared to condemn it are tagged as enemies and agents of destabilization.

More funny is that the government that supposed to act decisively is either looking somewhere else or pretending to be taking cosmetic actions when damages have been done. A group have been claiming responsibilities for all these killing but the highest government officials will either accuse political opposition or foreign terrorist groups, blame porous borders or busy for 2019 election yet money is being expended on security. What a tragedy and shame. I cannot understand.

I am in emotional pains. Do we have hope in this country? Can we not enjoy a peaceful poverty life? Many of those dying helplessly daily are not the well-to-do but the poverty ridden villagers. No wonder no one cares. But God cares. I cannot understand. God arise, your children are dying and no one cares

Ahead of the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) unveiled a 197-member council on Wednesday to lead its campaign. Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Government of Nigeria has inaugurated a 12-member Presidential Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy (PACPM), tasked with recommending individuals eligible for presidential pardons from criminal convictions. The committee, chaired by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, was inaugurated on Wednesday. It has a four-year tenure and includes members drawn from various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), as well as representatives from religious bodies and four eminent Nigerians. GOVERNOR OBOREVWORI APPOINTS OSEJI AS DELTA HEAD OF SERVICE

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has approved the appointment of Dr. (Mrs.) Minimim Oseji as the new Head of Service. Her appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Reginald Bayoko, who served in the position for nearly nine years. Dr. Oseji, a medical doctor, was previously the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment and had also served as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health.
