TONY CHUCKS OBUH COLLECTS EXPRESSION OF INTEREST AND NOMINATION FORMS

The PDP governorship front runner in Delta State, Tony Chucks Obuh today collected expression of interest and nomination forms at Wadata House, PDP Headquarters in Abuja, setting the tone for the race.

The people of Delta State must now be awake to their ebullient responsibility of ensuring the next leadership of the State is not given to a man who will ruin their common heritage but to a prudent leader who will advance the spectrum of their economic and social development.

The people know that when choosing a leader, they must look for a leader that can galvanize the masses, lead the government, guarantee security of lives and property and interact with fellow leaders without inferiority complex.  Tony Chucks Obuh is a perfect choice.

Tony Obuh has a brilliant mind, a compassionate heart, a strong sense of honesty and is a man with good moral standards. Leaders who don’t adhere to moral standards are unfit to lead. The moral value of a leader is what motivates the younger generation to idolize leaders.

Moses was chosen as the people’s shepherd because of his compassion. God watched him follow a single sheep that wandered across the desert in search of water. He carried the sheep back in his hands and muttered, “If only I had known you were thirsty, I would have provided water.” He was humble and didn’t want the position, which is precisely why God chose him.

When King Saul was anointed, he was nowhere to be found. They searched and searched, and finally found him hiding in a closet. He was humble and didn’t want the position, which is precisely why God chose him. God’s selection of King David surprised even Samuel the prophet. David was not tall, strong or broad like his brothers, nor did he appear to possess warrior qualities. But God selected David for his soul, not his physique. “Man sees with his eyes,” God gently chided Samuel, “but God peers into the heart.

Tony Chucks Obuh is a humble persona , who may not wish to being seen contesting for the position of the Governor, but God uses people to motivate him to see the reason why he should come and use his expertise to develop his fatherland.

Many people are looking through the books, making permutations but God has seen his potentials, people search for his brusqueness in politicking but God is looking for his gentle spirit and intellect capacity.

OBOREVWORI: How Not To Glorify A 'One Chance' Governor - By Zik Gbemre

It is appalling how, in desperation to sustain its thieving hegemony over the Delta State Government since 1999, the Delta PDP had the audacity to impose the weakest, most uninformed contender, a local champion, as Governor over a state replete with accomplished men and women of immense capacity. Given this unenviable privilege, one would have expected the fortunate placeholder governor, Sheriff Oborevwori—whose only election campaign manifesto was pledging to improve on the failed leadership of Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor—to engage creative minds and individuals of proven integrity to assist him in making a difference. Rather than doing the needful, Oborevwori has worsened matters by electing to engage the same spent leaders, deadwood, and gluttons that have gained prominence in running the state down over successive administrations. The result has been a government of mediocre officeholders competing to run the state for their pockets at the detriment of the populace, under a gove...
