DELTA 2015: Why PDP settled for Anioma Gov – Akpeki

AMIDST the controversy in Delta State over which of the three senatorial districts will produce the next governor of Delta State, a veteran politician and chieftain of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from the Delta Central (Urhobo) senatorial district, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, has stated that there was no need for hullabaloo on the matter, as the party had decided that its governorship flag bearer would come from Delta North senatorial district (Anioma). Akpeki, who was one of the governorship aspirants endorsed by the powerful Urhobo Progressive Union, UPU, an umbrella sociocultural group of the Urhobo, for the 2015 elections, said he withdrew from the race when the party unambiguously stated that power would shift to Anioma in the interest of fair play. The Ugo (Eagle) of Okpe Kingdom, who was the immediate past Commissioner for Housing in the state, Director –General of the PDP Campaign Organization in the 2011 election and   currently, Chief of Staff to Gov...

DELTA CENTRAL SENATORIAL SEAT: TIME TO COMPENSATE CHIEF IGHOYOTA AMORI

Chief Ighoyota Amori, the Odidimadi of Delta politics has stepped forward boldly and confidently to present himself for the position of Senator to Delta Central senatorial district. Chief Amori is community development oriented. He has served his people creditably and has turned the otherwise rural Mosogar community into an urban centre. Chief Amori has been one of the pillars of politics in the State since 1996.The political achievements of the State government under Chief James Ibori and Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan's cannot be divorced from the contributions of Chief Amori as a political mobilizer.   There is no doubt that his political visibility over the years puts him in a better stead to bring development to Delta Central senatorial district. Chief Amori has paid his dues fully as a politician. His sagacious political approach has been quite effective and result oriented. It is time to enthrone Chief Ighoyota Amori, after many years of service and contribution to th...

DELTA 2015: TONY CHUCKS OBUH, LEADING A VANGUARD FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A UNITED DELTA STATE

It was Marianne Williamson who asserted that as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence actually liberates others. This assertion which is a replicate in the character of Tony Chucks Obuh, has been the compelling force that enticed or attracts millions of people within and outside Delta State who have seen this light of progress and prosperity with down to earth humility and liberation in him to identify with this son of promise. In Delta State today, one man have formed the political talking point which has become very difficult to see a group of people in the state discussing politics without mentioning this name that has fast become an household name in the state be it Women, Elderly, Youths, stakeholders and opinion leaders, politicians, even the school children. The people of Delta State have demonstrated a rare character of discipline and vision by making sure that come ...

GRAND CONSPIRACY TO TORPEDO CIVIL RULE IN NIGERIA

Many have cause to ask: “Is APC really working towards winning the 2015 Presidential Poll or just grandstanding?” Events in the last couple of days have shown that indeed the APC has come to the sordid conclusion that the odds against it in coming presidential poll, pitted against the PDP fielding incumbent President Jonathan, is far too great and there was no way they could win in a free contest. What is more sordid is that    the Party is not giving up and has concluded plans to disrupt civil rule in Nigeria by inspiring    a military takeover than allow President Jonathan to continue in office beyond 2015. Investigations have shown that the shenanigans of Speaker Aminu Tambuwal (who one understands is a resurgent Britain’s project to replace the turgid , flagging northern leadership), to storm the National Assembly with thugs dressed like honourable members was part of the said grand plan in the series of provocative actions, programmed to ultimately culm...

DELTA 2015: TONY CHUCKS OBUH SET TO ACCOMPLISH DELTA BEYOND OIL

With the continued falling prices of crude oil, Delta State needs a leader that understands the entire gamut of the strategy of Delta Beyond Oil, a new comprehensive economic development framework with investment strategies and approaches that will ensure that other sectors of the economy in the State are brought on stream. The idea is to expand and complement oil receipts as alternative income sources and focus on internally generated revenues. Tony Obuh, the erstwhile Permanent Secretary, Government House and Protocol is one man that is reliable, dependable, modest, result oriented and can be trusted. He is also one bloke who knows the nitty gritty of governance in Delta State. It is on account of this that Deltans have resolved to hand over the mantle of leadership to him. He is a proficient leader with good qualities, good deeds and he is delightfully sophisticated yet simple. He does not blow his own trumpet or being boastful of his laurels. Tony Obuh is undeniably...

DELTA 2015: OH MY GOD! TONY OBUH!! TONY OBUH!!! EVERYWHERE

In every generation, nature always presents individuals who are barrier breakers, a man who will redirect their fortunes and bring them to greatness. Even when Christ had come and gone the Jews still believe the messiah is yet to come.  Though many know the advantage our State is bound to benefit from the expertise and exposure of Tony Chucks Obuh, they are aggrieved because he is not a professional politician with one thousand years of politicking. His meteoric rise and its peculiar circumstances come with a burden. This explains the exceptional and unprecedented gang up against him. Majority rule cannot be the only expression of "supreme power" in a democracy. If so, as Tocqueville noted, the majority would too easily tyrannize the minority. Thus, while it is clear that democracy must guarantee the expression of the popular will through majority rule, it is equally clear that it must guarantee that the majority will not abuse its power to violate the basic an...

THE MYSTERY OF THE PUSSY

Seriously, why do men like to look at pussies? Pornography and smut largely exists because men like to see wide open pussies. Given my obsession with effort to understand human behavior, I ask why questions. Hence I asked, why do men always want to see female pussies? Have you thought about it?  I thought about it and I wrote some notes on human sexuality. I made an elaborate argument but the crux of it is that I believe that the pussy has fascination for men because we entered the world through it, but others argue differently. The pussy is such a perplexity and an intimidating organ to men. Wars have been waged over pussy since the dawn of humanity. In the animal kingdom, alpha males fight one another to death just for the sake of mating (pussy). Careers of great men have been ruined over the pussy. The only way of avoid falling prey over pussy is to not make yourself available to be tempted by a woman who is not yours. If a desirable woman tempts you ...

Former member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Aniocha/Oshimili Constituency, Prince Ned Nwoko, has thrown his weight behind the governorship ambition of Tony Obuh, saying his emergence is a good choice for the people of Delta State. In a chat with journalists in Abuja, Nwoko said Obuh had all the needed qualifications to be governor of the state, urging other aspirants to queue behind him and support his emergence. Describing Obuh as the best for the office, the former Delta North senatorial candidate, stated that Obuh’s emergence was a break from the norm of political class taking leadership position in the state. According to him, “Obuh is a proven technocrat, he has no baggage of allegations against him, I have only met him once and I find him to be very humble. I think he will bring in fresh air into the system. “Tony Obuh is an Anioma son, he is qualified like any other aspirant. We should come together and support Obuh. If we support him, he will h...

B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G NEWS: SITUATION DETERIORATE AT NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, AS SENATE PRESIDENT SHOTS COMPLEX

The situation at national assembly has  deteriorated, as Senate President, Mark, orders immediate closure of National Assembly The Senate President, David Mark, has announced an immediate closure of the National Assembly after an attempt to stop the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, from the assembly, plunged the complex into chaos. Police fired teargas to push back a surging crowd Thursday after Mr. Tambuwal was denied access thrice before his loyalists smuggled him into the House of Representative s’ chamber later. SECURITY OPERATIVES BLOCK TAMBUWAL FROM ENTERING NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

There was an air of confusion at Nigeria's National Assembly Complex this morning as policemen and State Security Services operatives stopped the speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Aminu Tambuwal, from entering the premises. Angry lawmakers however forced the Speaker into the complex, protesting the action of the security personnel. The speaker trekked from the gates to the main complex. Senate president, David Mark and several other lawmakers were also delayed for hours at the gate before they finally entered the assembly. Mr. Tambuwal may have angered the ruling government of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, by defecting to the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC.  The speaker adjourned the House shortly after his defection on October 28, and announced a resumption schedule for December in what was believed an attempt to frustrate any move by his former party to unseat him. The PDP has the majority in the House. The House announced this ...
