The Fretless is an Asaba based band that combines the looks of a
string of exciting tunes, arrangements and step
dancing of the soul and blues traditions.
The group chose its
name to represent the musical freedom - and challenge. Fretless is
currently functioning as a band. The group has grabbed
the attention of critics and fans. After years of straight of arranging and
practicing, the Fretless emerged as a band.
The band has performed
many of their songs - captured on video and people have talked about their
music and inspirations. The group is enterprising, with each member playing
instruments and mixing genres to create a style that is unusual, engaging and
innovative.
The Fretless is taking
music to fascinating places as it transforms fiddle tunes and folk melodies
into intricate, beautiful, high-energy arrangements.
