OGO ESTHER TONY OBUH: OUR OWN, OUR PRIDE

She is elegant, beautiful, amazing and inviting. Her humility and simplicity may not suggest her status but in that ever cheerful frame of hers lies a genteel and infectious woman who has been behind the success story of Tony Chucks Obuh. Her name is Ogo Esther.

Mrs. Ogo Esther Tony Obuh is a study in hard work and support. Her uncanny ability to mix her professional career, spiritual life with the demands of the home front is simply amazing. She has showed unusual strength in balancing her acts as a mother and a wife in the last years as she has weathered the storms of time, which she has had her fair share, to be where she is today.

Mrs Ogo Obuh is a mother with a meek, compassionate, and public–spirit. Not at all a surprise to those who are conversant with her world view; one shaped by love, principle, consistency, transparency, commitment, selflessness, and total loyalty. Whenever the story of Tony Obuh is fully written, on every page, the fingers of Ogo will be boldly seen in that success story.

Ogo Tony Obuh transfers her care for her husband and children to the church and society. She encouraged her husband to single handedly take care of the St Anthony Catholic Church, Anwai Campus of the Delta State University among others.

Mrs. Ogo Tony Obuh is a virtuous woman. A Virtuous Woman serves God with all of her heart, mind, and soul. She seeks His will for her life and follows His ways. A Virtuous Woman respects her husband. She does him good all the days of her life. She is trustworthy and a helpmate. A Virtuous Woman teaches her children the ways of her Father in heaven. She nurtures her children with the love of Christ, disciplines them with care and wisdom, and trains them in the way they should go. A Virtuous Woman serves her husband, her family, her friends, and her neighbors with a gentle and loving spirit. A Virtuous Woman works willingly with her hands. She sings praises to God and does not grumble while completing her tasks. A Virtuous Woman is a homemaker.

Ogo is a true daughter of the land and like the average Ika lady, a beauty to behold. When you get close to her, you can feel an air of ease and confidence that is most noticeable in her serene eyes outlined with a dash of kohl. Her lovely face is complimented by her easy, charming smile. Wondrous gaze out in playful curiosity anytime she smiles. She is an Amazon.

I just spared a few lines to celebrate a Delta lady who deserves a good mention. It is our prayer out here that this woman of great history and unprecedented legacy would finish well as she trods along the journey that is ahead of her. She is our own and we are proud of her.
