DELTA 2014: TONY CHUCKS OBUH: THE DAVID IN JESSE’S HOUSE

It is true that God does his own thing the way it pleases him not according to human’s wisdom in order to accomplish his wise purposes which always confound man’s wisdom.

Just like David was foreordained by God in the house of Jesse to be the king over God’s chosen people the Israelites before he was born, so Tony Obuh was foreordained by God to be the Governor in a State that is the Finger of God of heaven; so the aspiration of Tony Obuh to contest the 2015 governorship election in Delta State should not be seen by anybody as being out of place.

This aspiration should be seen as a fulfillment of God’s fore ordination in Obuh as a leader and Governor over his people. As a State that is the Finger of God, the people of Delta State who are Christians should understand God’s concept in leadership and how he make leaders, therefore, people should not expect anything different from God’s method since the God of yesteryears is the same today and still in the business of making leaders, he does not change, and will never change.

Zoning as it is being introduced in politics today did not just start now; it is something that had long existed with God from the beginning which is in line with God’s divine appointment and foreordination of men at different ages to be kings and leaders of their people.

God recognize and practice zoning in his leadership model, people should understand that the intelligent and wisdom to do anything does not come from man but God, and as such, man should now begin to appreciate its role as agent in God’s divine arrangement .

It was the appointed time when Saul rebelled against God. When that happened, God zoned the kingship from the house of Kish which produced Saul, to the house of Jesse with emphasis on David like the 2015 governorship election is zoned to North Senatorial District with emphasize on Tony Obuh.

What people must understand and appreciate about zoning arrangement is that when God told Samuel; “arise, go to the house of Jesse and anoint unto me a king whom I will name unto thee”, it shows that even God in his zoning model had somebody who was David in mind before he zoned the kingship to Jesse’s house, that was why he did not say to Samuel, go to the house of Jesse and anoint unto me a king, but he said “whom I will name unto thee” which means God knew the name of whom he wanted.

It is true that God did not send Samuel to Jesse’s house without having somebody in mind who was David, so it is believed that God zoned the kingship to David in Jesse’s house to fulfill David’s mission on earth and his fore ordination by God to be king of Israel, just as the 2015 governorship in Delta State is zoned to in North Senatorial District by the ruling PDP in fulfillment of Tony Obuh’s divine fore ordination by God.

What people must know is that, it was the youngest and the newest of all in the system was chosen. This is a typical scenario of what happened between Eliab, Samuel, and David in the house of Jesse as recorded in 1Samuel 16:6-7 where Samuel assumed that God will choose Eliab to be king over Israelites. But the Lord said to Samuel, look not on his countenance, on the height or his stature; because I have refused him; for the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.

For those doubting Thomases who may still insist that the unanimous resolution of all that Tony Obuh should be governor come 2015 is imposition must read their bible well. This insinuation will stand to reason that David was imposed on the children of Israel by God when he zoned the kingship to Jesse’s house, so it is with all who are doing the will of God in Delta State and the PDP, it is the emulation of the examples of God in making a leader.

This is incontestable fact about the 2015 governorship contest; it is not and cannot be imposition. People should not struggle for it because there is no amount of struggling and spending of money that will change God’s will in Tony Obuh and this divine arrangement of God. People should also understand that the divinity of Tony Obuh’s project in Delta State is above the level of so-called imposition, it is purely God’s doing, there is a mighty handwork of God in Tony Obuh’s aspiration to govern Delta State as the next governor, which should not be seen as an imposition because nobody is imposing anybody, but God has chosen the leader he want.

Leadership is widely believed to come from God, and God gives it to whoever he pleases, as it pleased God to give the 2015 governorship to Tony Chucks Obuh, everything is just working in his favour, this is evident in the unprecedented supports from major political stakeholders and well-meaning citizens in the State he has enjoyed ever since he indicated interest to serve the State as the next governor come 2015. Truly, this is the Lord’s doing, and is marvelous in our eyes.

OBOREVWORI: How Not To Glorify A 'One Chance' Governor - By Zik Gbemre

It is appalling how, in desperation to sustain its thieving hegemony over the Delta State Government since 1999, the Delta PDP had the audacity to impose the weakest, most uninformed contender, a local champion, as Governor over a state replete with accomplished men and women of immense capacity. Given this unenviable privilege, one would have expected the fortunate placeholder governor, Sheriff Oborevwori—whose only election campaign manifesto was pledging to improve on the failed leadership of Ifeanyi Okowa, his predecessor—to engage creative minds and individuals of proven integrity to assist him in making a difference. Rather than doing the needful, Oborevwori has worsened matters by electing to engage the same spent leaders, deadwood, and gluttons that have gained prominence in running the state down over successive administrations. The result has been a government of mediocre officeholders competing to run the state for their pockets at the detriment of the populace, under a gove...

The service featured the introduction of various dignitaries, including Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation who represented President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor Godwin Obaseki, and Former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa. As each dignitary was introduced, the church remained silent. However, the atmosphere dramatically changed when the name of Former Governor James Ibori was announced; the congregation erupted in wide jubilation and applause. This reaction was so profound that even Senator George Akume and Governor Obaseki could not hide their astonishment. The enthusiastic reception for Chief James Ibori during this solemn occasion highlighted his enduring legacy among the people of Delta State.
